This grade exists to solve wear. Total thickness is 6.5±0.5 micron and print density 1.5-1.8, a notch below the enhanced and general purpose grades, traded for measurably better friction and scuff resistance.
What the lower density buys
A density of 1.5-1.8 means the ink is not as black as the 1.9-2.1 grades at the same temperature. That is a formulation trade, not a defect. Raise the resin share and the ink bonds harder to the surface, which is where the abrasion performance comes from.
If labels go through conveyor friction in sorting, get crushed between cartons, or take knocks from forklift handling, slightly lower density is irrelevant. Ink rubbing off is the real problem, and this grade is built for that environment.

It can replace some resin work
The manufacturer notes that it covers the common print substrates of standard resin and hybrid ribbons, with very good friction and scuff resistance, but weaker solvent resistance than a true resin.
In practice that means: if the only reason for using resin was abrasion, this grade cuts cost without losing the property that mattered. If the label really meets alcohol, machine oil or petrol, stay on the resin line.
Use and storage
Operate and store at -10 to 40 degrees C and 20 to 85 percent relative humidity. Keep sealed rolls dry and out of light; the super duty hybrid ribbon is normally ink-out.
