The PC45T is the thermal transfer variant of the PC45 series. It shares the design language of the direct thermal PC45D, adds a ribbon compartment, and grows to 2.7 kg.
What the ribbon buys
In thermal transfer, the ink layer transfers from ribbon rather than the paper reacting to heat. The result resists sunlight, abrasion and ordinary solvents. Equipment labels archived for three years, nameplates that stay with a product through its warranty, asset tags moved repeatedly in a warehouse: these need it.
The cost is consumables. Ribbon has to be bought, loaded and tensioned. Wrinkled ribbon leaves white streaks, and ribbon loaded inside out prints nothing. Those are the routine facts of thermal transfer, and they become second nature quickly.
Print specifications
Up to 203 mm/s at 203 dpi and 152 mm/s at 300 dpi, with print widths of 108 mm or 106 mm. Media up to 118 mm wide, rolls up to 127 mm OD.
Connectivity matches the PC45D: Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 LE. Large touchscreen for on-device operation. Two-year warranty on the machine.
Software and integration
Honeywell Printer Edge handles central management, Smart Parse adapts barcodes and fonts, and operational intelligence provides remote diagnostics and output tracking. Across units on several floors, this removes a lot of walking.
Print languages are FP, DP, IPL, ZSim2(ZPL-II), DPL, XML and PDF, covering mainstream systems and older equipment migrations.
Consumable pairing
Routine archive labels, asset tags and product nameplates run hybrid ribbon on coated or synthetic stock: adequate and cost-controlled. For cold storage, chemical contact or outdoor use, move to resin ribbon with PET.
Huaishi stocks ribbon in standard formats such as 110 mm x 300 m, and the PC45T accepts media up to 118 mm, so standard rolls fit. Where a customer uses unusual label dimensions, labels and ribbon can be produced to size together.
