The ZT600 series sits at the top of Zebra's industrial range, and the ZT610 is the 4-inch workhorse of that family. All-metal frame, built for lines that run around the clock. If you print a few dozen labels a day, this is more machine than you need.
Where 600 dpi earns its keep
Resolution comes in 203, 300 or 600 dpi. The 600 dpi option matters on small text and dense 2D codes: component markings on a PCB, UDI codes on medical devices. At 203 dpi the edges soften and scanners need a second attempt. Print speed reaches 14 ips (356 mm/s), and 1 GB of memory keeps large graphic labels from stalling.
Service and expansion
Both the printhead and the platen roller are field-replaceable modules. You do not dismantle half the machine to swap one. Anyone who has watched a line sit idle for an hour knows what that is worth. RFID encoding is optional; operations tracking assets or work-in-progress add the module so UHF writing and surface printing happen in one pass, without a separate encoder.
Who runs one
Three common cases: one-piece-per-part traceability in automotive, where engine and transmission labels have to survive oil and vibration; high-precision component labels in electronics; compliant and serialised labels in pharma. All three share a trait. One bad label breaks the chain.
Matching the consumables
At 600 dpi, pair resin ribbon with PET or synthetic stock. Standard coated paper wastes the resolution. Huaishi keeps 110 mm x 300 m general-purpose resin and hybrid ribbon in stock, which matches the ZT610's 104 mm print width without a special order. Labels in standard sizes or custom die cuts are produced in-house.
Common questions
Can it talk to our ERP or WMS? Yes. Standard ZPL and a gigabit Ethernet port, and we support the integration.
Does it support RFID? Yes, with the optional UHF encoding module.
What about warranty? One year on the machine, 7x12 remote support from our local team, and on-site commissioning for the first unit.
