The ZT400 series covers the mainstream demand on mid-sized production lines, and the ZT411 is the 4-inch model in that range. Lighter than a ZT600 and priced well below it, with a more generous set of interfaces.
What the touchscreen buys you
The 4.3-inch colour touchscreen lets an operator change settings and adjust label formats on the machine instead of walking back to a PC. Two USB host ports take a keyboard or a barcode scanner directly. Scan a work-order code and the printer loads the matching template, which is a common setup on lines that run many short jobs.
Print speed reaches 14 ips (356 mm/s), with 203, 300 or 600 dpi available. 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of flash hold dozens of templates comfortably.
Media and connectivity
Continuous, gap, black-mark and fanfold stock all run without fuss, with automatic media calibration. Connectivity is USB 2.0, RS-232, Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.1, plus the dual USB host ports. A common arrangement on a line is Ethernet as the primary link with RS-232 reserved for older equipment, so one path covers the other.
Where it fits
Work-order and process labels in manufacturing, inbound and outbound plus rack labelling in warehousing, sorting and shipping labels in retail distribution, specimen labels in labs. Medium volumes, frequent changeovers. How quickly the machine adapts matters more here than top speed.
Hybrid ribbon with coated or synthetic stock is the usual pairing. For cold chain or solvent exposure, switch to resin ribbon with PET. Huaishi makes both ribbon and labels, so printer, ribbon and stock come from one supplier and a print quality problem has one place to land.
Common questions
Can we plug in a scanner? Yes, through the USB host ports, no adapter needed.
Does it support RFID? Optional RFID encoding module.
What about warranty? One year on the machine, 7x12 local support.
