The PC310T is the networked version of the PC300T: same body, plus built-in Ethernet and support for adding wireless modules later. Multi-station workshops and warehouses integrating with a WMS choose this model.
How far the networking goes
10/100 Ethernet with a broad protocol stack: TCP/UDP, LPR/LPD, Telnet/SSH, FTP/SFTP, BOOTP/DHCP, HTTP(S) and SMTP, over IPv4 and IPv6.
SSH and SFTP matter in production settings. A shop-floor network is not sealed, and a printer on it is a connected device. Encrypted channels for file transfer and configuration are what let IT sign off on the installation.
Wireless is added later
WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.0 are optional modules. You do not have to buy them with the printer, and the option stays open if requirements change.
Only USB and Ethernet are built in; Bluetooth is not standard. If wireless is needed at purchase, say so on the order. The modules we supply carry SRRC certification, so there is no compliance work on your side.
Relationship to the PC300T
Same platform, same dimensions at 268 x 198 x 168 mm, same consumables and accessories. A customer who starts on a PC300T and later needs networking can move to the PC310T without replacing ribbon or label stock.
Options are shared as well: full cutter, peeler and a USB-to-serial cable. Printing is identical, 150 mm/s at 203 dpi and 125 mm/s at 300 dpi, with print width around 108 mm.
Management
The Honeywell Printer Edge platform handles central management and real-time monitoring. Seven or eight printers spread across a workshop show consumable levels and fault states in one place rather than requiring a walk-around.
In practice we recommend fixing each printer's IP address and mapping it to the station number. When something fails, the fault points straight to a location.
