Product Overview

The PX940V is the same machine as the PX940A with one addition: a barcode verifier integrated at the label exit.

What the verifier does

Every printed label is scanned, and the code is graded against ISO/IEC 15416 for 1D and ISO/IEC 15415 for 2D symbologies. If the grade falls short, the label is voided and the printer reprints automatically.

People cannot do this job. Sampling only checks some labels, and the human eye cannot judge print quality grade: a code that looks crisp can fail on quiet zone or contrast. A verifier returns a measured, traceable result.

Up to 32 barcodes per label, scanned at 600 dpi, verification width up to 108 mm, verification speed up to 100 mm/s. Print speed reaches 350 mm/s, so verification slows the cycle, though most production lines still fit comfortably within it.

Which industries are bound by this

Pharma is the most direct case. UDI and drug traceability rules set requirements on barcode quality, and an entire batch can be rejected for a substandard grade. Automotive supply chains behave the same way: OEMs impose hard standards on component packaging codes, with penalties or returns when they fail.

Export logistics feel it too. A code that will not scan at an overseas warehouse costs far more to handle than a verifier-equipped printer costs to buy.

Reporting and traceability

Verification data is visible through the printer's web interface, with statistics and label-by-label records. Quality departments building process records, or customers auditing a batch, can export directly instead of re-measuring by hand later.

The verifier is factory-integrated. Retrofitting is limited, so if you already own a PX940A and need verification, talk to us about an upgrade assessment. It usually costs more than specifying correctly at purchase.

PX940V or PX940A

Choose the V if customer acceptance or regulation requires label-by-label grading. Choose the A if stable print quality is enough and individual grades are not tracked. The decision follows your supply chain's contract terms more than your budget.
