The PD45 series is Honeywell's mid-range industrial line, and the PD45CCC is the fully equipped variant: colour screen, Ethernet and serial on board, wireless and cutter added as needed.
What a 5 mm label means
Dual-sensor dynamic positioning supports a minimum label height of 5 mm with +/-0.75 mm positional accuracy. Five millimetres is barely longer than a grain of rice. Cable markers, tube labels and component labels at that size defeat ordinary printers, where media drifts as it advances. This one holds.
200 mm/s at 203 dpi, 100 mm/s at 300 dpi. Normal for a mid-range industrial unit and enough for standard labels.
Hardware detail
An all-metal frame holds up in harsh environments. Adjustable dual pressure levers paired with dual media clamps keep ribbon from wrinkling, and wrinkled ribbon leaves white streaks across labels. On wide labels the difference is obvious.
The printhead lever is shaped for comfortable opening and closing, so consumable changes and cleaning are not a chore. Front sensors are modular, making platen cleaning and replacement easier than on earlier designs.
Connectivity and expansion
USB 2.0 host, USB device, 10/100 Ethernet and RS-232 come standard. Wireless (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and a cutter are optional.
Five command sets: FP, DP, IPL, ZPL-II and DPL. Printset handles Windows configuration, one-to-one management and remote upgrades. The screen supports Simplified Chinese, so there is no language barrier for operators.
Within the series
The PD45BBC is the economy variant: LED indicator and buttons, USB only, but the same print engine and printhead. Choose the CCC when you need network, serial, wireless or a cutter; the BBC is enough for a single USB-connected station on a tight budget.
Huaishi usually supplies the PD45 series together with labels and ribbon. Ribbon for this model is 51 to 110 mm wide, up to 450 m, so standard 110 mm x 300 m hybrid or resin rolls drop straight in without a special order.
